As someone who's thinking of buying a used car, I value this video. As someone who's trying to hock his old beater, I hate this video.

Seller: "Hey buddy, it's been 45 minutes... Are you almost done?"
Chris: "Yeah hold on, I'm just checking the car for magnetism"
Seller: "..."

I respect what you do man, it takes balls to run your hands all over some random guys car seats.

People here are complaining about 'if someone did this I'd drive away' . Small things can really add up, and if the seller isn't patient enough to answer questions or let you look over the vehicle then the buyer is the one that should drive away.

13:34 : while you inspect the suspensions, take the time to remove them on the parking lot, to be 100% sure there is no rust!

My god.... I am writing a comment on a youtube video after about 10 years or so. No video was particularly worth commenting on. But you man, damn you are good! You have one of the most helpful channels. Keep up the good work bro

I don't understand the people who want to sell a car and don't clean the carpet before they sell it!

you are definitely the most helpful YouTuber I've ever watched. sometimes it seems like cars are incredibly complex and hard to understand, but you really break it down and make the whole process easy to follow along with. this makes the whole learning about cars easier and even fun to be apart of. thank you Chris!

The worn area on the left side of the driver's seat is fairly common. It is usually caused by part of your body(belt/waistband) rubbing that area as you get in/out of the seat(More evident with "larger" people). The seat belt usually does not rub that area when you sit in the seat to drive. Sit there and try it out. :-) I've changed so many leaky A/C evaporators over the years. Some are really a PITA to get out. Great video!

Bravo, Chris! This is a great public service. My last car I got a lemon listening to my mechanic who told me he didn't have time to go with me and I could evaluate it myself. But he didn't tell me how. Your videos make him unimportant!
