Pro tip, if it has this weird emblem with these circles overlapping each other on the front of the hood and the back, just walk away.

Any tips at the dealership? Feel like this video was more catered towards buying from a private seller.

Hey, Ryan! Thanks for covering all the things buyers should know before buying one. It's so important to inspect first the pre-owned car to determine if the seller is the one registered under that vehicle, this is to ensure that the car is not a stolen one. Make sure to always check who actually owns the car before buying it.

Great video ! I use to work for an automotive dealership and you do have to be careful with used cars always get a 3rd party inspection if possible and remember you can negotiate the price Also month end and year end truly are the times to buy

Amazing video! A university course right here. But makes me wanna give up my search, but of course I can't. Gotta have wheels! The last part, about the plates, is what sounds like the biggest logistical hassle. In CA, a visit to the local DMV, especially without an appt. (which is not feasible in this case), is not a fast action. Could take HOURS, and that assumes the title, etc., have been done correctly. I just might move to Europe -- mass transit's a heckuva lot easier -- and cheaper. lol

But, truly, thank you for an incredibly informative (and well organized) video. Indispensable. I learned a heckuva lot. Soooo helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

One thing that I have done when purchasing a used vehicle is I bring my BT OBDII scanner with me. Most people are willing to let me plug it in. I was looking at a too good to be true vehicle and when I plugged in the OBDII and the computer appeared to be wiped. None of the readiness tests had been passed and it said no miles have been put on the car since the computer was reset. Maybe I was overcautious, but I've been 3 for 3 on good used cars (for myself and friends).

Very impressive video. I knew about 90% however there were some points I would have overlooked when explaining to someone else. I shared this video with a few friends to hopefully help them out. Keep it up!
