How to fix 'You don't have the correct permissions to access the file' error (Take Ownership)

Problem: Certain image/photo thumbnails are not visible, and Windows Photo Viewer displays the following error: "You don't have the correct permissions to access the file location"

Solution: Download the following registry file, double-click it to add it to the registry, right-click your image (photo) file and click Take Ownership. Your image/photo should be now accessible.

Yikes! Slow down there cowboy... Not very helpful for me. All of a sudden you open something up at 30 seconds and I have no idea what the hell you just did... Oh well...
