My personal #1 tip for newcomers to Days Gone.... Give it an honest try. If you're here in 2021, you likely got it for free on psPlus. Forget all the critic hate at launch. The game really shines in 2021 especially if you are lucky enough to be playing it on a ps5. If you make it to the 3rd camp and you aren't hooked, then cool.... maybe it's not for you. I love this game. It's probably my favorite ps4 title.

For anyone reading this in 2021 I picked this up for pc and I have to say I’ve never been so immersed in a game. This is by far my favorite game ever, I truely feel like I live in this game world.

Another tip is to get the skills to give you more plants and meat ASAP, as this will allow you to get more trust in the camps and level it up faster... either before or after getting field repair skill, so you can repair your melee weapons. This skill is the most important, as you'll be using melee weapons a lot in the game, so keeping them fixed is important, especially when they are the upgraded weapons.

A tip for people out there - It is worth investing in the melee talent tree to get to the last tier where you can get "Executioner" - it will save you a lot of ammo as the big "Breakers" can be taken down with one stealth attack.

I cant stop playing this game. I finished almost all the side missions. Deek is so OP. Finishing the story will be easy.

Fog clears by DRIVING AROUND THE MAP. Getting the map makes the camp a place you can sleep and fast travel if no infestations are on the route to it

Visit the power station/dam in northern cascade. Climb to the highest point, there you will find assorted bombs and a decent gun.

Idk why I waited til the game is free on ps plus to appreciate it. Kind of thought the game was mediocre back when it was released. It’s a really good enjoyable game!

My tip. Keep your bike tuned up by buying new parts from the camp mechanics. Many Nero sites are only accessible via a bike jump and there are bounty quests that involve bike chases. Also many roads are broken by blown bridges and it’s more fun to jump the gaps than go round.

Another tip you should know about is to try and get the Headshots too, as you get 75xp every time you do so. Sure it is hard, but you get more xp this way...

Also a good tip... early game just try and kill 4 hordes as fast as possible in the first area just so you get that lvl 4 submachine pistol gun that is really good!

Played this game on release after all the hype sinse it was shown at E3 and honestly the best game I've played in a long time I spend so much time grinding it for the weapons the achievements and I never got bored while doing so, if you haven't gave this game a try, you need to Seriously!
A real shame that they will not be bringing out a sequel would be great to see this title return in the upcoming future
