Nursing is painful. So is housekeeping...
You get soooo attached and then.... and then.... they get "called home" 😭

I've taken care of 5 different friends and family at the end of their life, the work you do is emotionally hard and I don't know if I personally could handle it for a living. You deserve every last cent.

I have a long history with hospice. My grandma and mom were licensed to home elderly people. We had home health agencies and hospices come in and out. I knew when it came time for my grandma to be on hospice (dementia), she would be treated humanely and lovingly. They gave me, the primary caregiver, all the support and care that I needed. I have such respect for all hospice staff. Godspeed, Nurse Hadley.

A retired hospice nurse here to say you are wonderful and we need more nurses just like you. Hospice was a blessing for me as I see it is for you. I also reflect on some amazing people who I will carry in my heart until I'm gone. What a great and rewarding job.

Doing payroll is probably hell. I was a timesheet auditor for a couple years and it was for in home health care. They were literally paid minute to minute for tasks they did. Example: insurance allotted the workers 12 minutes to transfer the patient to and from the bathroom. They were allotted 30 minutes for feeding/snacks. It was insane.
And so particular. The payroll for that was hell and I had 150 clients I had to do this for every week.

My sister and my niece do this. I don't know how they do it, it takes a special person. I am not that special, but I am grateful for the ones that are. God bless you.
