Sure aliens could have difference technology, but they deal with the same problems we do when it comes to space travel. They have to figure out how to get far away quickly without hitting anything that could ruin the trip.

Fun fact: The Fermi Paradox has a new option thanks to the books 3 bodies problem, and Dark forest. The new option states that the wall is other civilisations that are so advanced it would be like an ant trying to comprehend an elephant. The terrifying thing is, this could actually be right. We, Humanity may be feverishly screaming out to a universe that wants to eat us.
