It took almost 4 billion years for multicellular life to begin on earth. We have only had multicellular life on earth for approximately 600 million years. It was only in the last 500 years where we started modern science, and only the last ~50 years where we started exploring other “worlds.” We have barely ventured outside our solar system (craft only)…

there might be planets older than earth, but they’d need the right environment for life: maybe multicellular life never formed or hasn’t or couldn’t or took longer to form.
Then you’d need to consider how long it would take to develop science to travel into space… then not only travel in space, but travel to another solar system or galaxy.

So many factors to consider for beings from another planet to even make it to us.

Well there are 20 billion Earth like planets in just the Milky way alone. That’s just 1 galaxy. There are billions of galaxies in the observable universe alone. So it’s highly likely there intelligent lifeforms, but they are just too far away.

To me the Fermi paradox is no paradox at all given the huge distances measured in lightyears. And as we know traveling at speedlight or even faster is impossible.

As it was a paradox, there was still no answer to the Fermi Paradox.

But the most possible hypothesis that can be the answer of Fermi Paradox is the Panspermia theory. It says that life exists in all things in universe, even if they are not shaped as living beings we know today. In Panspermia theory, it says that life comes from cosmic incidents such as meteorite impacts.

And as this theory says that life exists all around the observable universe, it is not impossible to say that our universe is alive, and as the universe is alive, this hypothesis could possibly makes another hypothesis that says the observable universe were a part of bigger entities, possibly bigger universes out there, who can still contains life.

Femi paradox- It's mathematically impossible for only earth to have life...But space is just too big. So even if there is intelligent life. They/we, have no way to reach or communicate each other.

Distance between galaxies and speed of light limitation for aliens to get to us, requirement for civilisation's life to overlap with others to make but too mitigating probability factors. But it's an interesting subject for Elon to turn his incredible mind to.

The answer is, That they, the observers of earth from deep space can see the bands of highly charged particles surrounding our planet.They can see that we are combative and fight amongst eachother, also that they would have to traverse these bands to get here, so we are not alone, we just aren't worth it yet.

It's also possible that othet aliens are in different dimensions than us, they may see us but we cannot see them. It's like an ant who lives in 2 dimensions to human beings.
