Did Darth Maul Become Less Powerful After His Duel With Obi-Wan Kenobi?

It is often said that Darth Vader never reached his full potential due to losing so much of his force-carrying flesh during his duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. But if Vader never reached his almost god-like full potential due to the loss of limbs, why does it seem that Maul only grew in power after being cut in half by Kenobi. Afterall, he almost certainly lost as much midichlorian carrying flesh as Anakin. The answer is complex. Palpatine believed that it was not the physical injuries themselves that limited Vader. Instead it was the lack of confidence that these injuries caused that held him back. On the other hand, Maul was extraordinary arrogant, and remained so for the remainder of his life, meaning his injuries did not affect his use of the dark side.

i think maul's rage and hate grow stronger since he was cut in half, so his conection to the darkside grow way bigger than before

I’m pretty sure holding out his extreme hate for kenobi also kept him not just alive but fueled by the dark side and anger kept him more powerful then he was before

obi wan casually cutting sith limbs like grass during the clone wars is actually scary💀 maul, savage and vader!?!?!

I like this explanation. Vader, internally, was always at war with himself. Though he was always powerful, his head was never 100% in the game, especially vs Obi Wan. The Force needs a mind, body and spirit connection. Vader never had this; Maul did

Dark side strength comes from selfish desire for power, something maul was greatly known for, Vader not so much, he did had a lot of anger and hate, but mostly towards himself

When he lost half of his body, Maul had not yet reached his prime and only became more powerful in the dark side when he was stuck on that planet. So, I venture to say that he would be even more powerful if he hadn't lost half his body.

"The answer is a bit complex" **explains it in exactly 15 seconds**

I personally think it has to do with the fact that not only Vader lost some limbs, but basically his organs also were permanently damaged and needed to be replaced. Vader was so damaged that nothing his did wasn't without help from the suit. Even hearing and seeing was only possible because of the suit.

Maul on the other hand only lost the abbility to move, other then that his body was perfectly functional.

The mechanics hindered a little since it’s says vaders/anakins abilities in the force were a little delayed since it was harder for the force to run through a robotics instead of human arm that has life flowing through it

Vader never got to full power because Anakin was still fighting inside him ...until his son finally freed him

Whenever people talk about maul losing his legs they always forget he lost something more important: the minimaul

I also believe that Maul learned not to be arrogant, and after his fight with kenobi and the pirates, he gained full control of his anger and turned it into focused rage

Imagine if anakin never challenged the high ground, he could probably just kill people by starring at them

I always thought that somewhere deep down his guilt of all the evil he did combined with maybe the force not allowing his full unstoppable power to be unleashed that truly held Anakin back

I'd say that its more Maul's intense all-consuming anger and hatred that increased his power after losing his Legs, while Vader, deep down, wasn't as overcome by anger and hatred for Kenobi.

Maul should've been in the Sequels. With Palpatine gone, he sees the Empire up for grabs, Maul grew more powerful. And once he finds Kenobi's descendant, Rey, she is now Maul’s target to destroy.

Bro he made his spider legs and kept them in place for years and that means from that day in the phantom menace he didn’t sleep till the Clone Wars
