Nice video. I installed mine the same way. I watched this because it came up with a bracket installation search. I will add a couple of points: If the 2x4 isn't thick enough, use a piece of 5/4. Also, I put the adhesive foam on the AC unit so it didn't make a mess on window when I stored the unit for the winter.

How did you put the top screws that fasten the accordion to the window? My window frame is metal and the kit only came with wood screws

TIP: immediately after unboxing, and before installing the other parts, plug it in and let it run for 5 or 10 minutes to make sure it actually works. This way if you have to take it back to the store, you don't have a lot of pieces to take back off and repack. I learned this the hard way.

I need to install ac the same size, and same type of window frame. But, security is a issue. Can you please show how to place screws to secure the unit? Also, how to keep it from raining into the window from outside?
