They should have made this an alternate ending for the game. Like, have the PDA warn you about the gun, and you can choose wether to proceed or not.

They should have made 3 endings to the game where one is when you do this one is the normal one and one is where you disable it for the sunbeam

Back im the old days of subnautica there **WAS** a bad ending where you were shof down

Use the console command 'forcerocketready' bc it will let you launch it while the gun is on

I swear I definitely remember an ending where you can get shot by the cannon if you don't disable, I've found like zero evidence for it but I swear I remember it clearly

Its said even when you get the project from the captain room of the aurora, in data bank at the end of the page: "warning the AI of the rocket will not let start the launch if she detect dangerous things nearby" (the sentence is not accurate, but the concept is the same)

So fun fact to make easier later entering the mountain biome is the marker for instant infection not just the gun platform

I think it would've been cool of they had a "Bad Ending" type thing, but I'm glad they didn't. They made sure to give us all the steps and give us the best ending possible.

In my opinion, Subnautica is one of the greatest games I've ever played.
