As a Canadian I'm looking forward to having a closer trade relationship with Europe and the rest of the world. I think Trump is doing the world a favor by showing us we don't really need the USA. They are holding the rest of the world back. I find most of the European products I buy are of much better quality than American (USA) goods.

Murikkkan industry was destroyed back in the 1970's and 80's, by ''down sizing'' and shifting dangerous environmentally damaging processes to countries that didn't have as stringent rules on toxic waste

The steel industry like aluminium industry takes decades to build up, machinery & tooling, mines etc.

Trump is supporting us jobs. No big deal

Killing the EU steel industry and the EU economy overall is the name of the US game and we in Europe have to make sure that this game will backfire on the USA with interest. And tariffs on Harley nonsense and jeans and peanut butter does not cut the cake. Every product with US steel or aluminium components needs to be taxed from the cans to the cars and airplanes etc.

These countries never thought to help America in any way so I should be worried about any other country Trump is trying to help his country anyway he can and I say go for it God bless the president

I love this guy. He is showing Europe what he has shown other countries that America is either military or economic bully.

Economic kills a country unlike the military wars been waged by them.

My uncle works in Washington and he says tariffs on refined petroleum products are next. Trump has asked the Saudis and OPEC to increase production in case Canada counters with tariffs on crude

We dropped all tariffs on Europe after WW2 to help them rebuild their economies. We also spent trillions of dollars on the Marshall plan to help them rebuild. It's time we start getting some of that money back.

The European Union has signed up to the Paris accord. They should not be producing climate destroying steel, and should be importing what they need from the USA who have not signed up to the Paris agreement.

It’s just a pity that the government in the UK can’t take the same stance with the EU.Take it or leave it we are leaving.

I'm beginning to detect a pattern in Euronews headlines. It's something I'm more accustomed from the Daily Mail.

The good thing about this is that for once Europe might finally decide to follow US disastrous foreign policy
