For the longest time, this version of the theme was my favorite because it managed to capture the balance of epic orchestral with a hint of electronic weirdness. The sound effects of the cracking lightning also really added to the song.

I remember seeing these titles for the first time. After getting so used to Eccleston's and Tennant's opening titles, I was really surprised at the new ones. I was expecting a new title sequence but I never expected it to be so different from the previous one.

Oh nah the DW turning into a Tardis is one of the hardest things they’ve produced.

By far the best Doctor Who intro even to this day. Its visually good looking even by todays standards and its just so violent, with the tardis getting struck by lightning and then that drop into the fire and having the tardis burn up with this quiet but very noticiable orchestral choir in the background as the harsh looking Doctor Who logo comes up. its perfect

CGI wise, this is probably the best titles modern Doctor Who (2005 onwards) has had to date. The Tardis model is incredibly detailed, and the time vortex is realistic and believable. It's a shame this level of visual quality was not followed through for the 2013 and 2014 (Capaldi) titles...Although I love the concepts behind them, the quality of the animation is just not on par with this title sequence.

Gotta be my favorite doctor who intro of all time tbh
1. Really basic, no clock gears moving around, no really weird spirals moving everywhere too, just a tardis flying through a portal
2. Music is just perfect, really fits in with what is going on in the background

Regardless of what you think about Matt Smith this is by far the best Doctor Who intro. It can't be more perfect and its a shame it only lasted a few years.
