This is probably my absolute favourite doctor who intro ever. The doctor who intros always show the TARDIS going through space, but this one has also managed to portray the him going through time as well. I love it when the spirals of the clock face spin and dissolve. Some of the sound effects sound like a big clock tower tocking! It's also fantastic to the return to showing a face as well.

I don't know about anyone else's opinion, but I actually love this theme. Capaldi's Doctor fits this theme, to me at least.

I remembering loving Billy's fan intro before I saw this debut at the Doctor Who world tour which was so exciting! A great opener title sequence :)

This is the only Dr Who opening that I actually looked up on YouTube because it’s simply brilliant. Capaldi is The Doctor.

Wow, a clean version of the Twelfth Doctor titles. And no BBC logo in the top left corner of the video, only under the Doctor Who logo.

People hate this song Intro for many reasons, but the laziest excuse is 'It doesn't show the Time Vortex!' and that is so childish. Look not EVERY opening needs to show the time Vortex, remember the Tardis also travels in Space, not just time.


In my opinion this opening shows exactly what this show is about, for the most part. The cogs and clock faces represent time, the Tardis passing by said clock faces is it traveling through time. Then we see the Tardis pass by a few planets, showing that the Tardis can travel in space.

Personally, this is my favourite opening.

By far my favorite intro visually- The clock theme, the planets- it perfectly fits what Doctor Who is about at it's core- travelling through time and space.

It's about time we finally got an HD version of this on YouTube. My favourite official Doctor Who title sequence to date. The clock motif is very welcome. My only major gripe is that the Tardis looks like it's made of rubber. I know CGI has it's limits but this hasn't been an issue for previous titles of the modern era. Also NeonVisual's rendition of this blows all others out of the water.
