It's really nice to hear such a positive opinion about Germany. We Germans often don't have such a positive picture of our home country ourselves. Which I think is a shame because you could appreciate the positive sides without forgetting the past or overlooking negative things.

I moved to Germany in 2017, love it here. My hubby is from here, that's why we moved. Our kids love it too. We lived together in the US for 5 years then moved back to his homeland, it's beautiful here, I love that there are flowers everywhere and it's so clean in most cities where I've been, I'm European by birth so I feel at home here. The German people are very warm, helpful and kind to strangers in general ( except for the occasional person that maybe woke up on the wrong side of the bed lol but those are in every country), and the maternity leave can't be beat! 🇩🇪 🥨 😁

You talk about health care, I can vouch for that. I am atm going through cancer treatment. I was diagnosed with lymphoma (a form of cancer) in January and have now completed my 2nd cycle of chemo treatment. If I had been back in Britain I would still be waiting for the first test

Haven't been to Berlin since 2003 or so, but I'll be attending a conference there in September of 2020. Can't wait to visit one of my favorite cities again. Oh, and number 22 on the list: Döner!

I’ve been learning German on my own for a few months now, and I’ve fallen in love with it! I want to learn more about the culture. I would totally consider moving there when I can. But I will definitely be visiting first in a few years😀 but I’m still young and got a few more years till college, and Corona is still going on, but I hope to look for colleges there for the future

The social clubs are very varied; you'll find a Verein for just about every hobby and/or interest - quite a few have their own special events, some even with like-minded clubs from other places, and visitors and newcomers are always welcome. Be prepared for a modest membership fee when joining, though, because depending on the topic clubs can have expenses which need to be paid by the members. On the other hand membership often has advantages, so your membership fees get you discounts at some related places and/or opens up opportunities non-members don't get.
