As much as these gurus are appreciated they are from Mars, women like commitment lay the boundaries, not be taken advantage where guys are known to enjoy and the challenge wears off, men pull off ! Dr. Borello, Thank You!! You’ve now helped me understand that “experience”.
My story: I’ve been dating a great guy for 9mos. I knew from the start he was right for me, and I wanted him to know I was right for him. After 3mos. I wanted us to ‘define’ the relationship. So I asked..? I told him I didn’t want to be a passenger not knowing where the car was going!? I thought that was valid. He told me to just enjoy the ride and see where we end up. That didn’t quite sit well with me at first cause I don’t have time to waste!! LoL!! But I threw caution to the wind and allowed myself to let go of asking such questions because I also just want to enjoy life no matter what. Fast forward...by now we’ve spent numerous weekends together (we live in different cities about 1.5hrs apart). He’s taken me to several concerts, countless dinners, shopping sprees, other types of venues, or just staying home at his place etc... But it wasn’t until yesterday that what you said turned the light bulb on! We just got back from a long trip. He first took me to Disney World for a weekend, a cruise to the Keys and Havana, Cuba through the week, then back to Universal Studios the last weekend. Had an absolute blast of a time!! So after flying back home to Texas and driving from the airport he said “ I now know I can travel with you” I was like WTF?? We ALWAYS have a good time no matter what we do!! What made that so different?? But now I know!! It was just another “experience” for him!! Even though I’d like him to be more verbal, he always says his actions will tell me how he feels more than anything else. So I’ll continue to watch & wait to allow him the time he needs. But I’m not gonna wait 3-4yrs!! LoL!! Thanks again for the insight!!!
