I use retinoid - tretinoin specifically ALLL OVER MY BODY. Neck, chest, thighs, any scars or stretch marks. And it’s AMAZING!

I guess I’m a bit of a rebel. I “sandwich” tretinoin with Cerave lotion on the neck; it seems to work well. During the day, I use a glycolic serum or lotion on the face/neck.

It took me about 10 years of gradually increasing the retinol percentage to get to the point where I can use as much adapalene or tretinoin on my neck as on my face. Even then I only do this every other day. The result is totally worth it though. My face and neck are smooth, clear, and the skin tone is even all across, not unlike the photo filter effect that so many foundation formulas advertise. I don't need any amount of coverage anymore. It's amazing.

Can you use one made for eyelids on the neck for less irritation?

I started the differin journey mostly for the sides of my neck (under my ear lobes near jawline). I had old pitted darkened hormonal Acne scars that were really obvious. It's been trial and error. Almost 8 months later I can use differin every night but only on the sides of my neck, I still can't use it all over my neck. It has done wonders on the scarring. Tone and texture is improved and the darkness has lightened a lot. I have to use a plain moisturiser first (QV). I'm thrilled with the results.

I have to be so so careful using retinoids on my neck. I can't use more than what's left on my fingertips after applying it on my face + thinning it out even more with moisturizer.

I use Ren Bio-Retinoid. It caused some dryness on my face when I first started using it but no issues since. It’s done wonders for the skin on my neck and chest.

how about using retinoids on the back or chest? My dermatologist said to not use it on my chest anymore as it caused some hyperpigmentation on a surfacing acne cyst. it seems to work very well on my back acne scars however! I’ve e been using the gel adapalene, btw.

My God it was so painful . I didn't even apply to my neck. It was a warm night and ended up sweating. The tret caused me so much irritation and pain. It took 1 week to heal. Just be careful.

How do you treat major retinol irritation on the neck? I tried burn pads and it burns even more. I have tried Vaseline, Nivea cream…. Everything hurts. Any tips? Thank you in advance 🌷
