When I first got into Unifi, the consoles and gateways were the most confusing.

It’s key to understand how some are just a console while some are a console + gateway and some are just a gateway.

This video and the website don’t explicitly explain but rather imply it through the [mostly] consistent terminology. I wish this was explained better, the entire Unifi site almost relies on you knowing it or figuring it out yourself. There should be a “how unifi works” page high up on the marketing site.

You really need to provide a locally-accessible web API to help with integration, especially for protect and access.

I have a feeling someone is going to discontinue the self hosted controller. And the feeling tells me that they are going to lose a bunch of enterprise clients. One of them here!

Shame to see that self hosting the UniFi Network application was not mentioned. For small operations, self hosting the controller is the way to go.

When will Ubiquiti make an Console same as UDM Pro SE but provide 1x 10G WAN, 1x 10G LAN plus 8 port 2.5G switch? Basically a simple home scenario is 10G internet in (most likely still through RJ45 10G port), 2.5G AP and 2.5G devices like NAS, Desktop without having to redo existing wiring. Sure people can always add switch, but that kinda defeats the purpose of existing ports on UDM Pro SE. 2.5GbE port controller chip is dirt cheap now. One can buy a complete mini PC with 4-6 2.5G ports for less than $200.

Can Cloud Key Gen 2+, on a basic Starlink home network, provide for Network & Protect? Is Starlink, serving as a gateway, enough security for basic needs?

The UDM Pro is no where near as powerful as it needs to be I feel, it would be nice if we could uncouple the controller from it. Love where you guys are going though!

I like to know, when there will be products in the store for sale, products like the edgerouter line, products like edgeswitch lite 48 or 24 doors, everything missing will be that the staff is not seeing that there is almost nothing from the online store to the sale?

So does this mean the UDM base will be deep sixed, geez i only got mine in December last year looks like i have to upgrade to dream wall pro when it's out here in Aus.
