In this quick video I'll show you how to transfer ownership of a UniFi OS device to another user. The user MUST be an Administrator that you've invited and they have to be using a Ubiquiti Account to take ownership of the device.

Does that menu bar on the left changed recently? I tried to change the ownership but can only access the admin screen under settings menu and it opens a different screen as shown in the video. Any idea how to change it using new unifi screen?

My issue is I have a USG from several years ago that has not been used, and have no idea what the login info is. Tried the factory reset, but still cannot get logged in using the default name and password, so right now the device is useless. Would never have bought it if I knew I would have these issues.

Hi Willie, I'm looking to buy a second hand cloud key gen 2. I assume, as it's going on another network and as all the settings will be different, in that instance I would simply factory reset it and start again from scratch. I.E. the transfer of ownership thing you describe in this video is not needed for that situation? Is that correct?

i hate that only owners can grab the Unifi OS backups...at least that's what I'm aware of....Ubuiquit needs to fix this so that we don't have to do through this

Have a client I did a update on a gen 1 cloudkey. It never came back. Tried to factory restore no luck. I don have a backup to a laptop. Can I migrate or upload that config to a cloud console account instead of getting another cloud since they are out of stock.
