Having done all that work, if it makes you feel any better my 19 year old Discovery 3 also takes a little longer cranking over before it fires for the first time each morning (even during the summer).
I just put it down to the fact that she is an old lady now and needs a bit longer to wake up each morning.
However, once she is awake, she still goes like a rocket!
Like the both of you Christian and Vera, I couldn’t live without my D3.

You have not wasted your or any body else’s time with this exercise. You have probably saved all of us a huge amount of time in us now not trying to do the same process.
