I had a sales person try the deal is only good for today. I got up and walked out. He literally ran out the door after me. 😮😂

I once walked out on a salesman who was solely concentrating on the monthly payment so much he couldn't tell me how much they were selling the car for?

Love IT!!!! I used to tell all of my friends you are not negotiating a monthly payment but a vehicle. Do not give them any info on what you want to pay etc. NEGOTIATE the price of the car only!!!

We just experienced something Ive never heard of before at a local Toyota dealership when trying to purchase an all new EV. They insisted we open a credit card account with 0% for 6 months for added down payment.
We were there to buy a car, not to get a credit card...

Never accept a good-for-only-today deal. Demand time to consider, or reject the deal outright. I do not care if you have to book a hotel. Book one. Sleep over it. Take a walk, and take the time to read the contract word by word.

This makes me want to cry. Too much empathy for people who don’t know anything about finance, math, economics, etc. those usually end up being good people too.. it’s way too sad.

OK, if I walk into a showroom, and see Zach coming towards me I'm running. LOL

I can add 2 more interesting points to this.
1. Never show your excitement in front of them. Dealerships capitalize on your excitement of you getting a new car and that's when they take advantage of you. Just stay calm and chill throughout the whole process.
2. Don't use their bank, use your own bank or even better a credit union. Credit Unions always give you a lower APR. The dealership and their bank are in bed together. When you use your own bank/credit Union at least you know who you're sleeping with.

Tied selling- offering a lower interest rate only if additional services are purchased is illegal.

I always get pre-approved at my bank so i dont deal with dealership finance story. The dealership hates it but that is what yhey get for always playing games

I agree with the "time / pressure" thing. I've walked out on a dealer when he kept doing the same thing once. I guarantee if you walked back in an hour later we'd have the same deal or who know's maybe better because they your not afraid to say NO. 👍

Just got a 2024 Forester for a great deal thanks to you guys! My partner and I watched your videos, took notes and are pretty sure we came out on top with how upset the F&I guy was when we finally left with the car and no extra products 😂 Thank you so much for these free videos- it really helped boost our confidence in what would have otherwise felt like an overwhelming situation!

Reminds me of the scene in Fargo. The salesman goes to his manager. They talk about baseball for ten minutes, not the terms of the sale.
And get a pre purchase inspection on a NEW car.
“ I really like this car, and I’ve already made an appointment with my mechanic for an inspection. We can drive over there for a test drive.”
Well, done Shefskas.

Well done!

$750 a month used to be a Porsche payment.

Oh, Pops!! You are a hoot! 😂😂 You and Zach are quite the comedy team and more fun to watch than TV. Love your honesty and insight into an otherwise terrifying and exhausting car buying experience (which I may have to do soon). Definitely will consider your concierge service…it’s worth the drag-out, knockdown four hours at a car dealer. Keep up the great videos!

We had a used dealer here that posted THE price (non-negotiable) on the vehicle. I bought from them. Great channel here! *subscribed*

$93, 000 for a $30, 000 RAV4 is crazy. Don't let scum sales people do this to you.
