“Super-Fridge” is one of my most-loved and easy to implement sustainable habits (learned this from BJ Fogg’s book “Tiny Habits”). This task involves cutting up fruit and veg, and then storing them in clear ready-to-use containers in the highly visible area in the front of my fridge. This reduces food waste and encourages me and my partner to eat plant-based healthy snacks and meals. It’s super practical when our garden and green house are thriving 🌎🌿🥒🥕🥬Ⓜ️ary

I was unfortunately born into a working class family which, with their somewhat narrow horizons, just didn't fit me as a person. I tried but in my teens headed off to travel started in Greece and working my way through southern Europe. Not having money has taught me to understand sustainability. I have lived through charity shops, upcycling and generally making the most of all material things I could find, hoard or buy.
I find myself living in rural Shropshire in a tiny cottage I bought. I had to settle and put down roots. I'm looking to set aside a good part of my garden to growing food. Veganism has become an important and functional building block along with it's intrinsically kind and mindful view of our fellow creatures. I just couldn't go back to city living although I have experiences most British cities.

I've repaired my 9 year old watermelon leggings so many times. I don't care that printed leggings went out of style ages ago, they are my jam. That being said I think they will be going to legging valhalla this year. You will be missed my melony friend

“Walk purposefully and fix things.” Don’t ya just love that five work mantra? It’s one of my faves

I save my jars and keep aside the cute ones for gifting jam to people :)

It’s interesting how the “old me” used to consider habits as being “bad habits”… but the “new sustainable me” now associates habits with desirable actions… aka - “good habits”. I’d like to thank-you Immy (and also BJ Fogg) for this positive transition in mindset and lifestyle. It’s very empowering!! 🌎🌿Ⓜ️ary

In my hometown Graz (Austria) you get some money back if you repair an item professionally ✌🏻😁 // e.g. the phone screen of a friend of mine broke and she had to pay 100€ to get it fixed - the town gave her 50€ back 🥳🥳

Thank you for being so respectful towards different needs, resources and privileges. I am fructose intolerant and have some other gut/eating issues, so i really try to be ok with not eating vegan. I still am conscious of animal products etc. but i just don't want to be as hard on myself.

Hey Immy! I have a request. Please, please, PLEASE make a video about water. About how and why we should reduce water usage? Because I try to not waste water but I don't fully understand why we should do it and I hear you mentioning it here and there so I would love to have a full video on it! I'm sure lots of other's would appreciate it too :) hugs

“My curls are beautiful. So I want to celebrate them” yes!! This is such a good video<3 I started to change my thinking at the the start of this year for how I buy things and if I even need to and if I can find it secondhand and I’ve been doing my best to research the companies my money is supporting. Knowledge is power. ^~^

I’ve recently been hearing you, Shelbi, & other activists emphasizing the importance of corporate change over individual lifestyle changes. I think that is such a great point to emphasize since so many new activists seem to concentrate exclusively on personal change and trying to “convince” friends and loved ones to change their own lifestyles. I think those convos are great bc obviously supply & demand can influence change, but it’s really not worth squabbling about—-especially with so many unique situations and perspectives to consider. Often, it can lead to pushing people away.

I’d love to learn more about how we as individuals can help change the system, influencing greater change. Banking, voting, groups we can join, who to write to, what to say, etc. I know you’ve been touching on this in your videos, and it’s been very helpful !

This video brought me so much peace. I was feeling particularly bogged down and overwhelmed today. Thank you for sharing, you've inspired me.
One of the things I'm trying this year, to make it myself, is peppermint tea. I drink it all the time and have a peppermint plant so I thought why not give it a try.
