The most unbelievable part of this whole scene is that a LandRover Defender can top 50mph.

This movie wouldn't exist if she had a better shot

Each actor brought something different as 007, but Craig was a beast when it came to chasing after the bad guys.

Fun fact : This scene was shot in two different provinces of Turkey. The first part was in Istanbul, famous Grand Bazaar and Eminönü. The train part was shot in Adana. Attentive Turkish viewers would notice that “province code” on license plates suddenly change from 34 (Istanbul) to 01 (Adana)

Using the motorcycle to catapult himself onto the train, nearly falling off, holding himself with one arm on the train: this Bond is a tank!
Then jumping down from the excavator into the waggon and adjusting his suit like nothing happened: smooth as hell!

This scene is brilliant. The first lesson ever shooter had is that when you don't have a clear shot, you don't take it, when there is any chance you could hurt friendly, you definitly don't take it. That was a 100% no shoot situation, Moneypenny knows that as a top agent, of course M would know that, but agents are just expendable for her, it's her job to make hard, or even wrong decision. It foreshadowed the action of Silva, and M kind of get what she deserved at the end. The entire film is around the controversy of intelligence agencies and their dirty jobs ("the old way") for "greater good", unlike most super agent film, it has a very good story arc.

This is why Daniel's bond is the best.. Not much glamour just pure action

It's hard to decide between this and Casino Royale.

I love this scene because it highlights just how strong M was. She KNEW the risk, quickly processed it - and made the cold calculated call "take the shot". She is all "bigger picture" and this was illustrated in how she was willing to let agent Bronson die - knowing clearly that he was going to die. Reminds me of the scene from The Peacemaker. It is, of course, this bigger picture thinking that led to the creation of Silva and points to the larger duality of "necessary evils" that have haunted M over the years.
