Love how M just recognises Bond in the darkness. Just like a mom would

M: And Bond, don't ever break into my home again.
Bond: breaks into M's home 6 years later.

“Well, you’re bloody well not sleeping here!” - Brilliant.

Typical employee and employer conversation
employee: you almost had me killed
employer: you know the rules

"Being James Bond is not easy" is what we learn through Daniel Craig's era. And it's brillant.

Damn, the cinematography in this movie is top-notch. Definitely the best looking Bond flick.

“We’re under attack. And you know we need you.”
“Well, I’m here.”

This is the best version of Bond. A broken, tormented, mess of a man, who is bounded by honor and service, yet will never leave a job half-finished. He is waiting for the time when he can bow out, after his job is done, all while hoping to find some semblance of peace within himself, but not knowing what that looks like or when that will be. Craig’s Bond was absolutely brilliant. I hope it can be topped by the next person, but I doubt it will.

Judy Dench. I love her coldness as M. Savagely played that role for many years. That wit, skills, and attitude. In Skyfall, I cried for her.

Skyfall has got to be one of the best bond films ever. Top notch villain, redemption story of bond, M’s sad death, the action. So many great things

The chemistry between Craig and Dench is absolutely superb.

Credit to Daniel Craig here. He truly looks like he is down and out. The rough stubble, the bloodshot eyes, the pale complexion. This is a Bond barely keeping it together and the failure of the following tests MI6 put him through are believable. Often you get the ''hero'' in a dark space but it rarely sells, i.e., see Brosnan supposedly tortured for months in North Korea in Die Another Day and yet he looks fresh as roses soon after. Here though, it works. Bond feels, not finished, but hanging by a thread.

Another reason to love this scene: it was filmed in John Barry's old house in Cadogan Square, London. A silent tribute to a wonderful composer of film music.

This scene conveys so much character and meaning. And indeed, details like M recognizing Bond by his silhouette is pure class and intelligence. Craig and Dench were magic in this movie.

“Where the hell have you been?“ The delivery of that line says so much about their relationship. What a masterpiece of a film!

M (Casino Royale): "..and Bond, don't ever break into my apartment again"
M (Skyfall): "Where the hell have you been?"
How the sky has fallen....

This movie is great. I don't understand how the same team behind this failed so much with Spectre.

These scene perfectly shows how Skyfall, at its core is a film about people getting to old to do a job and getting replaced by younger people

Love Daniel Craig as Bond....he brought back a certain "coldness " to the character...he is after all.... an assassin.
