Among all the decissions in all the Bond films ever, the best one was to add Judy Dench as M.
She was like a castrating mother figure for Brosnan and Craig. Perfect synergies with characters and actors.

"Don't you recognize the car?" is actually a significant line of dialogue. After the courthouse siege, Bond 'recognized the car' (I sure didn't) and got behind the wheel, poised to 'kidnap her' from Tanner. This line prevents the viewer from later asking, "How did he know"?
