Even though I am mutch more of a Ps3 fan, then an Xbox 360 fan, I would say kinect since Move is more of a "Been There, Done That" thing.

The Kinect is not that similar to the Eye toy as you can play games without you being on screen and it follows your whole entire body and the action responds to the character you control.

@DBZGT1992 i do have a question for killzone 3 why use the move if you could simply use the dual wouldnt that be a waste of money to buy a new controller when you old one works perfectly fine with the other one.. think about that

@MandaRinen97 - The Wiimote and Move is more similar than some realize. Both have motion sensing wands and both use a light and camera combo for some tracking. Move uses the PSEye cam to see a lit ball on the end on the Move wand. The Wiimote has a camera on the end of it's wand which sees the IR LED lights in the sensor bar. The disadvantage for the Wiimote is that swinging the wand makes it lose sight of the sensor bar, whereas PSEye is rarely going to lose sight of the lit ball.

"you can play with your entire body" great choice of words. lol

I don't notice any lag when playing. what lag do you have? I know people keep saying there is lag, but when do these people experience it?

@tlsviddies - But you conveniently ignore that it does this in 2D, not 3D. That's the difference.
Yes, there are 2D depth perception methods in use, such as EyePet which uses the floor/surface to determine relative distance, and the ball in Move where it's know size means it's used to calculate distance, but if you look at all gesture recognition tech being developed for the market today (GestureTek, Canesta, SoftKinectic, Mgestyk etc to name a few), they are all using 3D cameras like Kinect.

@rossyboy108 - ??? You hold the Move controller and Wiimote (now with MotionPlus) in your hand, therefore they are both detecting the movements from the motion controllers as your hand moves them around. Hence for the new controllers, Move is more accurate for detecting movements from your hands, Kinect is more accurate for detecting movement from the rest of your body.

@MandaRinen97 - So there are pros and cons to both. As a screen pointer, the Wiimote has less lag than Move, since the Wiimote uses the camera and sensor bar for this purpose, whereas Move uses the gyros in it's wand. But for overall tracking of 3D movement, Move is a little better compared to a Wiimote with MotionPlus and it has the advantage of a camera which can be used for gaming too (PSEye).

@000TQ000 - During our discussion, I've made a distinction between games played with 'Kinect only' and games which use a combo of Kinect and standard controller. Hence Child of Eden on 360 uses Kinect only.
For FPSs, when Move was first announced, I hoped Sony would find a new solutions over the Wii control scheme, but instead the wand+sub-controller is really the same, albeit more accurate. Hence I do feel many with Move will try it for FPSs, but in the end will return to DS3. We'll see :)

@MTMind2 but pulling a trigger of a gun? can you do it in kinect?

@PrototypeU41 he stated in the video that kinect doesnt have the big titles but has the potential to be better than the move once more titles are released

@xSheltonXx - Sorry but that's completely wrong. ALL 360s work with Kinect, the difference is Kinect needs more power than the older 360's can provide, and so a seperate power adapter (provided) has to be plugged into Kinect for it to work. The newest 360 models have a special port designed specifically for Kinect and therefore a seperate power adapter isn't needed for those models. That's the only difference, and so using Kinect is exactly the same from launch model 360s up to the 360 Slim.

@Ryuuken24 - Actually, Move does lag (about 1/8th second), sure not as much as Kinect when tracking the whole body (about 1/5th sec), but it lags just the same. As for space, Kinect requires only slightly more than Move.

@uDasau Amd actually yes kinect can recognize wrist movements, unlike eyetoy. Which is why theyre different.

they need to make a caster game for kinect, have a set up menu to assign your personal motions for each spell. example fire torch- shoot fire from the hands. each move will have delay cast rate time which player will hold the motion until it is complete then it is casted for damage.

@chrizzle63 - XBox360? I said Kinect can be used with the 360 *controller*, you can't pretend that method doesn't exist. For those with PSEye/Move, GT5 supports the PSEye for head tracking, so does that not count either? If we were comparing controls for FPSs, we can compare Move, the standard controller and the hybrid control scheme of mouse and keyboard. By your logic, it can't be mouse and keyboard together, it has to be either mouse OR keyboard not both, which of course is nonsense. :)

@000TQ000 - I disagree because we have to wait and see how the devs use the two together in future. The PC's mouse and keyboard was once laughed at as a control method for gaming, and hence PCs back then came with a game port for connecting joysticks. Then in 1996, iD software released Quake where they introduced the mouse and keyboard control scheme that PC gamers take for granted today. iD's control scheme was inspired, hence we have to wait and see if the same can be done with Kinect.

@XmasterDean - Like PSEye being used for head tracking in GT5, many core 360 games will use the controller as normal with Kinect there to add extra features, such as head tracking, voice/gesture commands, menu control, special melee attacks, throwing grenades, leaning etc (to list a few ideas, perhaps you can think of more). Hence whilst Kinect can be used as the main controller it doesn't mean it MUST be the main controller. Google: 'Kinect hybrid' for more information :)

@TheRPGPlayer you think it's similar? ehhh NO, what you mean is that Eye toy is presently what move use and it's not so different than a web cam. what is really different with kinect is it can detect 3d without laser beam to guide it...

@grasukiller - It's not as simple as that. Look at Kinect in Forza 4, yes it's used for casual driving in arcade modes, but for the core game it offers head tracking (which works really well) and voice commands, and there's Auto Vista mode. Look at Mass Effect 3, Kinect offers voice commands for dialog sections and giving commands to your squad during battles (COD would be similar). Hence both Move and Kinect have a lot to offer all game types and hence gamers of all ages when used correctly :)
