Microsoft has announced that a standalone Xbox One Kinect will be available starting October 7 for $150 USD, and the device comes bundled with Dance Central Spotlight.

now they seperated it and the xbox one is $400 and kinect is $150
$400+$150 = $550 wtf how does that work??

I'm a PC gamer, and frankly don't care about Kinect, but are you guys really such big idiots? This doesn't have to be used for gaming, you know. The Kinect is a good piece of tech, no doubt about that. It can be used in many fields, incl. medical. Now shut up with all the undeserved hate. My goodness glad I'm not a Sony peasant.

I hope you guys know the Kinect is used for more then just dancing and kids games. The Kinect is a powerful device and some have took advantage of. Just look some of the mods, and projects the Kinect was used in. I remember seeing a documentary and some used the Kinect in a homemade droid they made.

I don't know about $150 maybe in about a year.I mean the people who bought one at  launch before the kinect-less bundle don't need a Kinect and the people who bought the who bought just the the Xbox One alone(that just released a couple of months ago) probably aren't going to get get it because that's why they bought it in the first place.

We predicted this long ago when Kinect came bundle with consoles. MS has to learned the hard way that most people don't care for motion detection. At least SONY did it right this time.

Well when the Kinect 2.0 is available, EB Games/Game Stop well back Trading the Kinect in. So there will be Pre-Owen ones available after.
