After ditching deep-fried foods on the healthy low sodium diet I've been on for the past few years, I'm never going back. The oil in the deep fryers in fast food establishments and other restaurants is reused many, many times over. Every time that oil is heated up, it accumulates trans fats, carcinogens, and oxidation products. That oil is unhealthy enough when it's fresh from the factory. Deep frying it many times over multiplies the health risks.

That said, I have a more important reason for avoiding grease bombs. I'm only more sensitive to them now, so eating a meal of deep-fried foods would give me such a massive food coma that it would be a long, long time before I could do anything again.

I’m in my early 40’s I have lupus and RA and kidney disease, I swell and have trouble controlling high blood pressure! I don’t want to die like this and I feel so bad all the time, I’ve been on up to 17 pills a day for different things! How can I feel better? What can I do?
