Great video, but wouldn't the left side for the reverse zero-product property be (x-2-3i) and the right be (x-2+3i)? Wouldn't you have to distribute the negative to both terms?

Use the defenition of complex conjugates instead; whre (x-2) is the real part and 3i the imaginary. Thus, by definition of complex conjugates you would obtain (x-2) square - (3i) square...which simplifies to x^2 -4x+4-9i^2=x^2-4x+13
