I took part in this study, later finding out I was in the group that had both Vitamin D and Omega-3 active. I was in my late 50's and early 60's during the study and in excellent health. I am still in excellent health at this time. I came across this video by accident and it's nice to see this analysis of the study.

About two months ago I started to get a bunch of the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis and so I did a bunch of research and I was prompted to take 5000IUs of D3 and 2 Fish Oil pills and start a Ketogenic Diet. Within a week I was feeling much better and now weeks later I feel completely back to healthy

I've got an autoimmune disease and a few years back I would suddenly pass out if I even slightly exerted myself physically. Found out I had severely low vitamin D levels, so low my liver had begun to become damaged. For those last few years I've been on vitamin D tablets and probiotics (kefir or any lactobacillus strains in pills). With my immune system I haven't been able to eat a lot of foods, even foods I used to be able to eat, I'd get chronically sick, chronic tonsilitis, I'd be fatigued and it was ruining my ability to do anything.

After religious probiotics and vitamin D for about 3 years now I'm significantly better. I rarely get sick and if I do it's so minor it's not even worth taking time off work. I somehow haven't caught covid yet. I can eat things I never used to be able to without reactions, I'm not chronically fatigued, I haven't had a chronic bout of tonsilitis in those 3 years. My stomach lining and intestines were covered in ulcers which are now gone. I would say I'm close to being able to claim I'm completely recovered.
I struggled with an invisible disease for over 10 years that was ruining my entire life and I didn't see it ever going away.

I definitely feel vitamin D plays a huge role as well as lactobacillus in fixing our immune systems when something is wrong.

The studies of lactobacillus and mental health and vitamin D are showing some promising and huge breakthroughs and my mental health and ability to deal with stress are vastly better than they've ever been and more robust.

I urge anyone to give these a shot if you're having issues

Thank you, Dr. Seheult. You are as good as sunshine. Discovering you is one of the few positives to come out of this pandemic. Thank you for sacrificing your time and energy to keep us informed and hopeful.

I suffered with pretty bad UC since 2007. Went on prednisone, Remicade, Humria... etc... for years, which only kind of controlled symptoms. I even took Vit D daily and my levels were on the lower end normal range. In 2019, my doc suggested we get my vit D levels up to upper normal range. So I started taking 20, 000iu a day for a month, and shockingly, my UC went into remission.... completely. I was able to come off all other drugs for the UC. Now, in 2022, I'm still in remission, but I also need to continue taking 10, 000iu a day. Any less and things start getting bad again.
It's been a life-changer, and I'm so grateful for my doctor discovering this with me.

Edit: March 2024 and still not had any hint of UC coming back. Still taking my 10, 000iu a day. Again... I can't express how thankful I am every day I've not had to live with UC.

My period didn't stop for 2 months and my obgyn ran all these tests and couldn't tell what was wrong with me. But prescribed provera, which didn't stop the bleeding. I did a lot of research and I came across a sentence that mentioned low Vit D in women who had abnormal menstrual. So I took 10, 000 ui/daily and in 4 days my period stopped!!

For people who have been listening during these Covid-19 times your videos have taught us how important vitamin D supplementation is for that. This is such an added benefit as well. I hope this information gets widespread coverage. You’re doing a great service for us all. Thank you!

I've been taking 5k vit D3 (w/o soy) 6 days per week for ~5 yrs and have had zero colds or flu. I also take a plethora of other vits/minerals/herbs. Many hospital staff were genuinely surprised of my health (and zero prescriptions) as a 63 y/o while having hip surgery. We must be a very ill people was my thought with their reactions. It's sad. I learn from, share and enjoy these videos you produce. Most people would rather pop a pill than to be proactive with their health.

So nice to see a rational and scientific analysis of a paper, rather than the usual click bait. Thank you

Trying to get really good data on supplements is such a challenge. Often the studies are small or they're retrospectives or they've got other flaws that make them hard to draw conclusions. It's nice to see something like this is being looked at by the big boys who can command the grant money to do the work and with the names to get it published where people would see it. Thanks for the great review of the study!

I've been diagnosed with ra and my life was turned upside down . I'm in construction and you can't imagine how much tougher it is to succeed at my job. Watching this video gave me new hope in possibly getting of the medicine I'm currently taking ( which I dislike taking any meds anyway) I'm gonna start taking vid d tonight and pray for the best. Thanks for the video and a new glimmer of hope.

The 400 IU RDA for Vitamin D in these modern times is a joke…prob should be closer to 6k IU.

Vitamin D is glorious! ☀️ I Always feel like crap and generally unwell all the damn time living in the Pacific Northwest.. Almost nine months a year of rain, cold, snow and constant gray is beyond depressing.. We visited Arizona for 3 days last week and felt like a million bucks.. Soon as we got home we immediately decided to sell our house and move to the Southwest.. Just a couple of days getting sunshine and warmth relaxed me, eliminated so much anxiety and made me feel better than I have felt in years.. ☀️😎👍🌴

2000 IU a day is too low especially if you live north of the mason dixon line

Excellent information always.

Amazing. Not less. The problem is, that no pharmacuetucal company can make bilions of dollars out of Vit. D capsules. So we will not hear about that at any other place.

Thank you for discussing the data and the key results of this study. I am 68 years old, eat one meal a day in the morning, take a supplemental stack everyday, and have a normal BMI. Science and medical information are key to a pain free existence in my case.
