Emma Thompson is a gift to humanity. Her comment about not judging the vessel that is our bodies is brilliant, generous and spot on.

This interview is a treasure. Stephen’s sensitivity and empathy, coupled with Emma’s amazing advice made me cry. I hope she knows how much, in a single interview, she’s helped (presumably) millions of people to be more accepting of their bodies.

Every woman I know says "I started hating my body at years old." Please, no longer. This IS your precious vessel that carries you through life! Emma, I cannot WAIT to see this film.

My god she spoke beautifully about not only the film but women's body image and its power over our lives. One of the most eloquent women alive.

Doing this at her age is a positive move to give women at any age to feel good about themselves. She makes beautiful heartfelt statements .

She's honestly one of the most beautiful people ever, inside and out, and always has been.

This made me cry a little bit, especially when she said 8 year olds being self conscious about their thighs. That was me (and still is). She’s great!

I also started hating my body at 14. I thought I was ugly for my entire life. And I wasn't. So now, here I am, middle-aged, and heavier than I've ever been and it's sad to me that I hated my body all those years when it was beautiful. I'm excited to see this conversation happening.

"This is your vessel, this is your house, this is where you live..." My God! Thank you for that ❤

She was so damn good in the movie. Her pain and angst were palpable and blended so perfectly with Leo"s suppressed pain. The sex was mostly implied but when she finally got her release it was so beautiful and then all the pain was gone. Everybody involved deserves an Oscar.

I so appreciate actresses like Emma Thompson and Jamie Lee Curtis... great role models for keeping it real even as we age. 😊

Of course I do not know Emma Thompson personally but I do have to say I simply adore her. She's a fierce advocate for being our best selves and walks through all her trials and gripes with such good humor and wisdom that simply jolts me alive from any self doubt or pathetic wallowing I might be having at any moment. I found that, in this brief interview, she is bursting with authenticity, charming at every turn, and as she is in every performance, is absolutely radiant. She twinkles in this interview; I find her incredibly beautiful as a human being and a woman and, honestly, will likely always feel her to be one of my role models for how to be a remarkable, kind person in the world. Thank you for having her on tonight.

Haha... I love how she casually threw in the word 'prelapsarian' then immediately had the presence of mind to realise she was on American network TV and quickly added 'you know, Eve before the whole apple eating thing'. I guess her Cambridge University education just can't help but shine through 😁😁😁
