The 2022 Toyota Aygo X blends crossover and city car into one

Having previously collaborated with Citroen and Peugeot for its city car project, the old Aygo, Toyota is now going it alone with the Aygo X. Toyota builds it using a version of its TNGA-B platform that also underpins the larger Yaris. While that allows for hybridisation, the Aygo X comes only with a combustion engine for now.

I've got one. It's a good little car. Slightly under powered but put in E5 petrol, performance fuel and that helps. The best MPH I got was 60 to a gallon on a 12 mile run. Ave is 55 . Boot space is better than old one, you can even get an inflatable paddle board in boot, once deflated! Tech great and good day nav

If it only had a sixth gear for those occasional longer runs and an arm rest I might just sign up. Great review.

Decent upgrade on the previous model but that engine is a little gutless compared to the competition. Love the styling though.

Overpriced with sluggish engine...They could just add mild hybrid - little battery 48 V...and they would have a decent car...

All cars have aircon, so for it to function properly all windows should be closed.

Rubbish it's no longer a City Car I just bought a Toyota x trend 2020 in white with red trim, and that with the Beautiful alloy wheels looks amazing with its rear reversing camera and its infotainment System. That is a true city car and plus it's more economical. I'm sorry but the bonnet on the X, is way too wide to be called a City Car it is wider than a BMW check it out probably won't even fit in the garage the way it flares out. And the wheels look way too slim for 18-in. They look ridiculous from the back view. Toyota bring back a true city car we still need them.

There's no point in building a new car with an old engine they need to move on and design a new engine for the Aygo x the Old engine does not work for this car it's way too slow.

One of the best looking toyota's, unfortunately those back doors not opening very wide is a No No!
