Affordability has always been a key quality of the Toyota Aygo and the same spirit is central to its successor, the super-stylish all-new Aygo X compact crossover.

This week Toyota reveals retail purchase offers that will reinforce the new model’s status as a car that’s as easy to own as it is enjoyable to drive.

Taking the Aygo X (pronounced Aygo Cross) Edge as an example – the expected best-seller in the new line-up – Toyota expects the residual value to be class-leading. This built-in value and 3.9 per cent APR Representative are the foundation for a PCP offer for retail customers with payments of £159 (over a 42-month term with a £3,349 customer deposit and 8,000 annual mileage). Full details and terms and conditions are available here.

The value proposition is further strengthened by Aygo X’s significantly higher specification. The Edge model shares the same platform as the Toyota Yaris – the current European Car of the Year – noted for its dynamic quality. With the move to a crossover style, there’s a higher driving position and also more space in the boot – an extra 58 litres. Key features provided as standard include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, automatic wipers, rear privacy glass and a bi-tone paint finish. The multimedia set-up includes an eight-inch touchscreen display and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The Toyota Safety Sense package of active safety and driver assistance features has been increased in terms of content, range and functionality, to provide protection in even more accident-risk scenarios.
