I see what you’re saying about the sugar. But these are meant for intense athletes and sugar is really healthy for athletes during an intense workout. It’s a fast acting carbohydrate that’ll give you energy. For health I could see your argument, but for intense athletes, I don’t think that 11g of sugar is necessarily “bad” for you. I do prefer LMNT but not because of sugar

Hi, not sure if you knew about the Sugar-Free Liquid IV electrolyte mix that is selling at Costco ? Given there is no sugar how does that compare to LMNT ? Thanks :)

Why didn’t you compare the sugar-free Liquid I.V.? The LMNT is sugar-free and has stevia.

If drinking everyday casually, I totally understand the sugar concern. However, if you are using it during extreme workouts, having a small amount of sugar to add some fast acting carbs is actually a benefit.

If I took a multivitamin and salt capsule, isn’t that the same thing as a $3 per serving liq iv?

Bad take, and if sugar is that big of a deal liquid IV offers a sugar-free version. But the thing is Liquid IV is meant for people who are active and athletes to replenish depleted electrolytes so 11g of sugar isn't a big deal whatsoever.

You do know that sugar is what powers every cell in your body, right?

Why are we freaking out about sugar? If I'm running or on a hike, sugar helps. 45 calories is also still significantly below Gatorade and the like.

Thanks for the warning ! Had no idea LIV had that much sugar in it.
I'll stick with LMNT

LMNT is running a great racket. $2 per tablespoon of powder containing nothing but synthetic stevia, salt and a couple of particles of magnesium.😃👍

So your body does not need sugar? Or is the sugar in liquid IV part of a balanced nutritional product. Honest question. I don’t see the harm in a little sugar when hydrating.

It’s so difficult to avoid sugar in the American diet, it’s in everything

The first 2 ingredients of Liquid IV are sugar and that's a not go for me. LMNT sticks to their mission and has salt as their first ingredient. That's what I'm looking for. It's LMNT for me.

Not a fair comparison since Liquid IV has a sugar free product.

LMNT has Stevia. Some not so good stuff is coming out about Stevia.

Both are terrible in terms of overall health, albeit for opposing reasons.

I know exactly. I dont know why people rave about this overpriced crap. Just go get a cheap sports drink if your going to drink Liquid IV
