This is long, but please read and thumbs up so R, our beloved narrator, can see this!!!!

Loved the video, but you missed the BIGGEST hint in the secret tapes---particularly the words Rebecca was chanting. They were actual names spelled phonetically.

Bye Yell = Bael/Ba'al
Pie Man = Paimon
Bye Lamb = Balam

Let's see what the Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon says about these names.

Balam is the 51st spirit of the Ars Goetia and a great and powerful king (to some authors a duke or a prince) of Hell, commanding over forty legions of demons.
Balam is the Demon of avarice, idol worship and immorality. Balam is a nocturnal demon who is most powerful during the mouth of December. His Zodiacal sign is Sagittarius.
He was once in the heavenly order of Archangel (the lesser variation) and Dominion.

Balam aliases: Balaam, Balan, Balam Sicirue, Baram, Balam the Great, Balam the Terrible, Shanay Balam, Great and Powerful King of Hell, Duke of Hell, Prince of Hell, Marquis of Hell

Paimon: The 9th Pillar of the Ars Goetia and is the King of Hell that is the most obedient to Lucifer.

Paimon is one of the Kings of Hell. Of all kings, Paimon is the most obedient to Lucifer, and has two hundred legions of demons under his rule. He is said to rule legions of spirits, some of which are of the order of Angels and the rest Powers.
His worshipers want him to manifest in the mortal world, so he can make them wealthy and knowledgeable.

Paimon aliases: Poymon, Paymon, Baymon, Paimonia, Master of Infernal Ceremonies, Great King of Hell, Lucifer's Most Obedient, Demon of Love and Chaos, Pale King

BONUS: Watch the horror movie Hereditary to get more in depth about Paimon.

Ba'al: This one is known outside of the Goetia, since Ba'al is mentioned in the Bible as the chief god of the Phillistines, Canaanites and other ancient civilizations, and archrival to Yaweh and the Israelites. The name is a title that means "Lord", but it is associated with a great fallen angel named Bael. Here's what the Goetia says about him:

Bael is ranked as the first demonic spirit of the Ars Goetia and principal king of Hell, ruling over the East, along with being the head of the infernal powers.

Bael is the first of the 72 Spirits of King Solomon and governs 66 to 250 legions of Demonic Spirits. He is a Fallen Angel turned Demon and is described as a hoarsely-voiced king with the power to make men invisible. Many minor deities of ancient Syria and Persia carried the name Baal, which means "the lord." According to some authors, Bael is a Duke of Hell, with 66 legions of demons under his command.

Bael is believed to be the original King of Hell, ruling Hell before being dethroned by the Devil. He is able to make his conjurer invisible. According to the Grand Grimoire, he is a direct subordinate of Lucifuge. According to Wierus, Bael is the first king of Hell with estates in the East.

In the Livre des Esperitz, Bael is described as a king ruled by Oriens, still possessing the power of invisibility, as well as the power to garner the favor of others, but ruling over only six legions of demons. Sloane MS 3824 mentions Bael, in "Of the Demon Rulers, " as a king ruled by Oriens, attributed with teaching science, granting invisibility, and controlling 250 legions of spirits. Bael appears in later editions of the Grimoire of Pope Honorius, under Astaroth, as a prince whose powers include (again) invisibility and popularity.

Hope this info helps in clarifying whats really going on and helps giving more clarity on Hameln's true intentions.
Another bonus fact: All three of these entities were (and possibly are) honored with *child sacrifices.* This might be what they did to Rebecca.

Theory:
Sam is Wooly;
Sam was always portrayed as a nice person, and in the original live-action show, it is inferred that the lessons were a lot less “dangerous”. Presumably, Sam would be the type of person to encourage adventurous behavior, while also making sure to let people know to always be safe and cautious. This is the exact personality of Wooly. Wooly never turns down or questions an “adventure” until things become dangerous or inappropriate. He tells Amanda in “Everything Rots” that this going “too far” and warns Amanda in “In The Kitchen” when she wields the knife and tries to use the oven.

While I’m open to believe Wooly could just be a random victim, I still think it’s Sam is the perfect candidate as he holds the most connection to Rebecca/Amanda.

Theory:
What the trapped kitten represents is Rebecca being trapped inside the tapes and I think it's specially a kitten to relate to the logo of Hameln, a mouse. Cats chase mice and the trapped kitten represents Rebecca/Amanda being trapped by the mouse (Hameln) and therefore she needs you to help the kitten and free it so it (Rebecca/Amanda) can catch the mouse

The words that she is reading is almost like demons' names .. like : Bye Yell - Bael / Pie Man - could be Paimon / Baa Lamb - Baalam .. If she was actually summoning demons no wonder things went to the worst and also it could be a cult looking for sacrifices or way to communicate the demons' world to have power or wealth using the children as a gateway

14:28 this is interesting too. The concerned parent said that telling kids that "mommy and daddy isn't always right" is a bad message to give to kids. But he says immediately after that he told his kids the TV is broken, proving the point. He lied to his kids instead of being honest and telling them, "hey this show is creepy and inappropriate so I don't want you to watch it."

I think Amanda is forced to bring kids to this demonic game, and I also think that Sam is either in the game as well trapped, or he's woolie, trying to stop the demon that's in his daughter (Amanda).

That theory about Rebecca's family shattered by corporate greed rubs me the wrong way. Frankly, it feels like humans are the worst possible demons.

I can't be the first one to notice this, but the company name Hameln together with the mice symbolic throughout the game might connect the lore to the tale of Pied Piper of Hamelin which takes place in the German town, originally called Hameln, which was infested by rats. The piper offered to lure the rats out and played his pipe to do so. But the people didn't pay him, so later he returned and lured all their children out of Hameln the same way he did with the rats. There are many versions of what happened to them. Almost none of the endings is nice I think. I would be very happy if I saw some theory about this :D
Have a beautiful day everyone!

EDIT: Good, Matpat found it, should have checked it out sooner.

It makes me wonder if Wooly might be Sam. Wooly trying to keep Amanda in check, could be how Sam would help keep Rebecca going the right direction. I'm sure I am 100% wrong. But, who knows.

I hope they make a more detailed ending where we can set the kids free

I’m confused how no is addressing the robot and doll both having living souls, and the robot leaving multiple messages that indicated that he was aware of Kate’s death.

Here is something I had thought of while watching this game again:
I feel like the original Amanda The Adventurer(the one when this was just an indie horror game) was from Kate's point of view. The note that Kate sent to Riley said that Riley wouldn't see her again unless it was in the next life, but as you said, Kate never said that she WOULD be dead by the time Riley saw the note. The entity might've taken Kate somewhere in the twisted cartoon show, somewhere she would have a hard time to escape from, if at all.

Theory: Wooly is part of the Hameln company, interrupting her when she gets too out of hand in her behavior/when she starts remembering certain things about her life. When Riley is turned into one of the hanging slabs of meat in the meat end, she's unable to move and is eternally tortured. The other hanging slabs are other children, failing at Amanda's tasks- BUT Amanda is the main character and she can control the plot of the story sometimes, indicating that the Hameln company does not have FULL control over her mind yet. When Amanda portrays violent behavior, Wooly redirects her, saying things like "I don't think we should be doing that" etc. Amanda looks annoyed at Wooly multiple times and he's being referred to as a friend in the birthday card scene. Amanda cannot control her anger just as she cannot control her mind, because the Hameln company has taken over it. Also, whenever Amanda gets too out of hand, red static appears, taking a more powerful approach to manipulate her mind. In the kitten scene, she gets triggered when you respond with no when given the question of whether you wanna save the kitten. I think she's using the kitten to represent herself, as she needs help and she's stuck inside this mysterious world. PLUS, how does Riley (the character we're playing in the show as) answer questions from a VHS tape..? Well, Maybe she isn't. Maybe, as soon she started watching the show, she becomes hypnotized into answering Amanda's questions OUT LOUD, and if she fails, she turns into one of the background items inside the game you have to click on (a slab of meat, for example). The scene in which the parent voices his opinion out loud, saying Amanda said parents aren't always right, is kinda weird- we've seen the VHS tapes and in none of them does Amanda say that. I think Amanda has to RE-LIVE every single episode, every time it's played, forgetting the last time she re-lived it, but remembering more about her life.

That's all :D)

The kid who got taken away definitely got turned into meat in the butcher shop because she teleported while watching Amanda and Wooly in the shop also I feel like the barnyard house may has the consciousness of Sam its the only inanimate object that looks overly worried as if its watching everything that was created go wrong. also the things Rebecca was chanting where names of demons in mythology so those could have been what were talking to her. also the lunchbox Amanda opens at the end is made from wooly it contains brie cheese a cheese that is farmed usually from sheep along with meat that does not resemble any other meat from the butcher shop looking burnt and amateurly handled

Just notoced this, the Studio that apporached Colton to make Amanda The Adventurer big? Hamlein? They share tge same name with The Pied Piper of Hamlein, a story about a man who was hired by the town to get rid of rats. When the Piper did his job, and the town skipped out on paying him, the Piper lured the town's children and they were never seen again. Verrrry errie coincidence here.

12:43 those words that Rebecca is saying are actually the names of demons.

I think the previous versions of Amanda the adventurer may have been the story of the librarian, Aunt Kate.

It's funny how the biggest mystery in this game is Wooly. There are a million possibilities and there is hardly any focus on him. I hope we get to see more of him!

I want a game about Woolly. There’s gotta be something behind that character. Is he Rebecca’s father? Being tormented constantly?
