When my husband began Carnivore, he would fast for 6 days and eat on the 7th day of the week. He did this for 3 months and went from 400 lbs. to 260 lbs. This generated new skin on his hands where he'd been burnt and his skin was darker after the injury, but after fasting and a Carnivore Lifestyle, the old skin began peeling away and new, vibrant, skin was underneath. It was amazing!

Love this. I’m on day 11 fast. I stopped coffee for a 60 day trial. So, I’m having hot water electrolytes with my B1, & B12 & butter. If I get hungry I’ll add sardines until I decide to stop. A minimum 21 days. So 10 days left unless I decide to go 30 days. Sorta like when I started Carnivore. I said 30 days! That’s been 22 months ago. Nothing feels quite like good health. Now the weight is finally releasing.

And exercise, that will raise more ketones if you have already done all you suggested.

Sorry Dr Berry, but butter and fatty meat is anything but FREE. In fact the price of butter is going litterally off the hook. However, you are correct.. increasing the good fat in your diet and squeezing out/down those nasty carbs is the correct way to get more ketones!

I'm not against the idea of consuming ketones... if you want to.

-but I can't imagine it would be easy making a ketone drink not taste like nail polish remover.

I'll stick with high-fat/low carb.

I noticed something. In those systems of belief which have some sort of fasting, and the members do so, there seems to be less over weight people in those communities.

Imagine a world with carnivore bars instead of chocolate and ketone drinks in the fridge instead of pop in gas stations etc. Actually. We would all be strong and aware then so... never gonna happen

Technically you would no longer be fasting, but not everybody can safely fast for long periods of time.

If you want to raise your levels of potassium one of the quickest ways is by mixing a can of baby clams with a can of oysters. So much potassium in both and so delicious! 😋

My doctor is probably going to murder me on my next appointment. 😅 I'm in a lower state of ketosis, and my cholesterol is higher that normal people. Losing weight like a boss, but never mind that. Ha!

Coconut oil contains MCTs... which are rapidly metabolised to produce ketones. Not animal sourced!

This all sounds great, but at what point do you stop this. I lost so much weight and it kept going down. I did not need to lose weight in the first place. just did keto to be healthy. I am 6 foot 4 inch. weighed 185. went down to 160 before i had to increase carbs to stop weight loss. Maybe not all people can survive without carbs.
