I saved my money and ordered the ninth generation for my husband for Christmas. Honestly he won’t be taking pictures with it, and his main purpose will just be surfing the web or playing an online game of chess. You can still find the ninth generation under $300!

Was the 9th gen even mentioned or covered? It seems that this review is more targeted to those who need to be convinced to buy the 10th gen instead of considering the 9th. Not what I was looking for.

The #1 biggest difference for me, is something you didn't touch on at all. For YEARS iPads were a 4:3 aspect ratio, making 100% of apps / games fit the screen perfectly. The iPad 10th gen goes with a 3:2 aspect ratio, making it awful for my experience with most games. I just can't justify an extra $200 for the new one, where there's not one thing about it I like. 9th gen iPad will easily last me 5 years. Then, I'll look for a model in the 4:3 aspect ratio. I still have an iPad Mini 4 as well kicking around.

I’m still gonna buy the 9th gen. I prefer its design and it has a headphone jack so that’s a huge plus.

Considering the amazing sales on 9th gen there really isn’t enough different to warrant a 200 hundred dollar price hike. Granted the 10 is better but mostly is superficial ways and it doesn’t make a ton of sense to overspend for that.

I just brought the 9th generation today I am glad I made a great decision my phone is going to be for camera and nothing to me is wrong with charging an apple pen I barely notice lightning differences

Can’t really figure out what I’d do with the slightly faster processing of the 10th. These are basic iPads. For basic web/email/docs stuff. The 9th gen is now available for $270 (64G). It’s a great device for that price. And if I want a better camera… that’s what your IPhone 14 Pro is for.

My iPad 6th Generation is slowly starting to give up the ghost, meaning a new iPad will be on the horizon for yours truly. If I get an iPad 9th Generation, I will be quite tempted to splash the cash a bit more and spring for the 256GB version as I tend to watch movies on it, and I refuse to pay a bloody lot of money each month for a Netflix account. If I get an iPad 10th Generation, I needn't worry too much about storage space as I have my movies on my external hard drive so I can just plug that into the newer iPad's USB-C port with my USB to USB-C adapter. This will enable me to skimp a bit and go for the cheaper 64GB version.

Costco has the 9th gen iPad for $279.99 for the 64GB and $409.99 for the 256GB. I’m thinking of getting this as an upgrade from my IPad gen 2 and iPad Pro gen 1.

Apple have really taken a massive nose dive in ingenuity….Steve Jobs would be throwing a fit if he was about to see this. The budget model is pretty much everyone’s preference and the errors on newer models are mistakes a school kid would make. They haven’t come out with anything ground breaking in so long now! It’s a joke!
