HOLY CRAP. I’m 25 diagnosed with piriformis in November. This stretch works. Keep back straight tho! This does work keep doing this for a week you will definitely feel a difference

This stretch saved me. Absolute must if you suffer from piriformis syndrome! Went from a 10 out of 10 pain down to tolerable 2 after just 15 minutes of repeating this stretch, thank you so much for the upload 🙏🏽.

HIP FLEXORS. Ty for that. It's suddenly making more sense.
Also, I really appreciate seeing how you do this stretch. It's a good angle. Can be hard to translate proper form, and, form range of a stretch.

This is a very good exercise, my problem is left leg and hip, during the day I have almost no pain, but at night in bed, I hardly can turn around, severe spastic pain

I've been to 5 physical therapist and never was told about this...holy wow. I actually don't feel pain right after. I've been feeling with off and on pain in my low back for a while now, and this month it has been continuous every day. I'm scheduled for an MRI Jan 2nd, but im glad this is helping me

What helped was doing physical therapy, I went to the doctor, and he referred me to a PT.
For the pain of piriformis syndrome and sciatica symptoms, I took naproxen (it was prescribed to me by my Doc)
The pain was so horrible it woke me up every 20 minutes at night. Not getting enough sleep also makes you feel more pain. Make sure not to take to many pain relive pills because it hurts your internal organs in a long run. Please talk to your Doctor!
The Heating Pad helped so much. I did it for up to 8 hours a day.

The best exercise will be either doing clam shells, or pirifomsis stretch!
For the Scitica Nerve it will be Nerve Glides.

I highly recommend using a tennis ball and doing some soft tissue work around the buttock pain before exercising.

Again, going to the PT was a great choice.
It took me 3 whole month! Currently it does still feel a little tender but I can go back to work! It was really tough.

Wow thanks for this tip. I have been using a spinner in my apt to avoid using a gym during coin and I know tight muscles are causing lower back pain so this will help.

How is it I went to physical therapy numerous times and I never was told this? I can almost run as well as when I was 20 again

This stretch is amazing!! I’ve been having pain in my glutes and lower back for months. When doing this, I felt the stretch directly on the area that’s been hurting in my glutes!

Hoping this helps with low back pain !

OMG / WOW this is a fantastic stretch. More precisely, I just did this for the first time, and can't move my knee but I can feel an awesome stretch. <3
BTW, I've been in severe pain for about six months.

Finally someone shows how to do it, but my book shows it is for the hip rotator muscles. It really relieves my pain, thanks.

You mainly pull on your ankle right? To perform the stretch? Or do you mainly pull from your knee??

Should you do this if your piriformis is Inflamed?
I’m not even sure I can get into the original position without significant pain atm?
