3 Things You're NOT Doing | Lipless Crankbaits

In this video, Paul ( @Burly Fishing ) will talk about using a Lipless Crankbait, which can be found in the March MONSTERBASS box. The purpose of this rattle or knocker is to cause a lot of commotion during the retrieval so that fish are more likely to notice and strike the bait. Lipless crankbaits are also quite versatile because of the various techniques that can be used while fishing them. Paul suggests a few tips and tricks that you might not be trying yet.

Yoyoing the bait is a technique I think most people forget that is the best way to fish these styles of baits. So many people just cast and reel in the bait. I'll do that as well but burning it then kill it. It is a great way to trigger bites. Great video Paul and Monsterbass.

May 20, 2019 I caught my pb smally on a red craw Rat-L-trap. hit it in a foot of water just as i was pulling it out of the water. yo-yo technique works well, i do a “tick tick tick” then reel so 3 quick jerks then slow retrieve and repeat till shore almost like a jerk bait.

I love a Rattle Trap but I’ve lost more than any other Lure. I use the little Ozark Trail Lipless and they work amazing for a 2 dollar Lure.
