Game of thrones S03E04 Craster's and Jeor Mormont's Death

Smart man that Craster, eats food in front of 40 starving armed former criminals with zero backup, talks about slitting their wounded comrades throats, and then taunts them with a tiny hatchet. 👏👏👏

The delivery of that line drips with menace, like a snake has just entered the room.

Craster was delusional to think he could intimidate literal murderers and killers who have been starving for days and have just after burying one of their men. Got what was coming to him

God, the way Karl's voice sounds with the lines he delivers is so perfect I swear...this dude could literally be talking about butterflies and flowers, and still make it sound menacing and intimidating.

God damn it Mormont is badass. Even though he was stabbed in the back he still managed to pick up a guy by his throat and chuck him against a wall and he didn't even whimper at all when he was dying.

Grenn has a lot of heart. Tanner has just revealed himself as a stone killer, and my boy rushes headlong across the room to tackle Karl, unarmed, to back Mormont.

Karl Tanner: (internally: I'm gonna say the B-word) *inhales*

Can't even begin describing how badass the voice of the man saying: "Whose throat are you gonna cut old man?" is, but it's delivery was EPIC. The silence afterward and the look on both the instigator and Crasters face said it all: Shit just got real.

Notice how Tanner was ready to surrender to Mormont. He looked even scared of him, and shocked when Mormont got stabbed in the back. The mutiny certainly wasn‘t planned, it was just Tanner acting out of hunger and hatred. Then the other guy stabbed Mormont, and all hell broke loose. Tanner seized the opportunity, but I think he never meant it in the first place. He really just wanted something to eat.

I didn't realize how important this scene was. I don't even think I realized that the Lord Commander was the one murdered.

Times like this, i forget that these Night Watch crows are really former serial killers, thieves, rapists and more dangerous criminals that's just being reformed into men of the watchers, and when you starve them like this or treat them like shit they really show their true form huh, Craster should have known better to rush that guy with an axe

To me, this was more satisfying than the Purple Wedding. Jeffrey was a brat and a monster, but he was also constantly being disrespected and humiliated, so there wasn't as much built up tension. Craster was murdering his own babies since season 2 and even farther back, and no one did anything against him. Also, I love the different kinds of evil portrayed in this scene; Craster is just as evil as Karl Tanner, but Tanner puts his money where his mouth is.

The way he takes that deep breath and kind of rolls his eyes up into his head before calling Craster a bastard.

So badass. It really shows that this is a dude who is an experienced and fearless killer.
