Ok. Back to Quilting. The weather is starting to turn to cooler temperatures which always make us feel more like sewing, quilting making and fall projects. There's lots in store for us this year so let's get back to it. Happy Quilting.

Dale, you are so authentic and real, and I love that about you. Its all about the process, and part of the process is experimenting and passing on what you learn. As for boys learning to sew, i taught both my sons how to use a sewing machine, and they have both used the skill in their lives.... and now I’ve taught my three grandsons how to sew/ quilt. The oldest, who is 6, is making face masks with me to sell, and he is making his first quilt for his mom. So exciting for me to see his burgeoning design sense! His cousin, 4, has also designed a quilt, directing me where to sew the different fabrics he’d picked out. Its gorgeous! Sewing is a creative process, just like any other art, and not exclusive to women! Thank you for sharing your life and being YOU....

Your work is beautiful! I think you fit in just fine!! We have a guy in our quild, and my best friend in Colorado quilts, and he's amazing. The quilting marine and quilts by a dude are what led me to you.... Y'all are my favorite quilters to watch.

I am a new quilter at 57 years old, I have no idea what I'm doing, but what I am finding in the "quilt world" is that there are so many rules, it was really messing up my creative flow. So I just decided to do it my way, and I am loving the craft, I made my first quilt for a gift for my daughter, it was full of mistakes but looked amazing in spite of the fact that it was not perfect! I love your quilt, and your creative vision, thanks for the video, I hope to see your finished quilt!

2 of my 5 grandsons are learning to sew and we're all learning together. I feel nobody should squash a child's interest in anything productive so this grandma is enjoying the time with my boys! Thank you for all your efforts and example that it's okay for the guys to sew too.

Hey, you fit in in my quilt world, I think your fantastic and I would love to chat with you. I'm in the uk and I have to say a lot of the quilters tend to be very square, so you truly are a breath of fresh air for me and you are so right being an artist is about true expression not what others think, x

Dale thank you for your comments today. I have 3 children, boy, girl, boy, and my youngest son is the only one that I can talk to about my quilts. I ask him if the colors go together and if he likes the pattern or design. I am currently making him a king size quilt. He even drove me an to a quilt shop that is an hour away to get the black batting I needed. He is quilt worthy!

My mom was a seamstress but she never taught me while I sat next to her so I could learn. I would hover over her she would tell me to go. I think I slowed her down 😐 you are awesome 😎

My grandson sewed with me quilting from the time he could show has been part of the my quilting life craft shows etc since he was able to get out of his pram he stopped for awhile when he dealt with peer pressure and became a closet quilter so so sad ...people outside crafters quilters could be cruel he is 22 now and has a partner who is male and both are now enjoying crafting quilting with the who gives a damn and so proud of him them as he grew up though people who quilted etc were so eager to bring in a boy to teach ...shame as his school peers broke him down 😫he lost the love for a while His take on colours and shapes were amazing are amazing he taught me to think out of the box and be brave with my creativity ...😷🌍👍🇦🇺

It’s not just the quilting world. For the invisible sore thumbs. From my experience it’s the sewing world in general.
