I'm finally finishing a small Christmas quilt I started two years ago. I got stuck because I didn't like the way my machine quilting looked on the center panel. I took all that stitching out and now I'm big-stitch quilting by hand around the snowman and animal characters with #8 perle cotton. It looks so adorable! Love your leaf appliques. Ingenious!

I love your ideas! Coincidently I’m also using real leaves as templates! I went on a nature walk with my grandkids and picked a beautiful assortment of leaves. Then I waxed them with wax paper to preserve them then using a light box I traced the outline on to plain paper and then used those as templates to trace onto fabric backed with Steam-A-Steam 2 and finally cut them out! I’m planning on using them to make an autumn themed table runner. I was working on the layout when I came across your video!

Woot...I got to do the first thumbs up! Your pumpkins are really cute and I love that you used the leaves from your own home. Since you are getting so smart with technology, maybe you could turn those leaves into a quilting pattern for longarms! I spent hours recently looking through quilting designs to make the image I had in my head for an autumn quilt come to life. In the end, I gave up and used one of the patterns on the longarm I rent (waa, waa) but I just know that somewhere out there is a really, really good falling leaves pattern that is *just right*. hahaha Right now I'm working on a pillow cover to go with a quilt for a lovely friend. We're having lunch tomorrow with another dear friend (who I also have a quilt for but hers turned out larger and I just can't give a small quilt to one, right? So the pillow cover will make up for that. fingers crossed) I usually play your videos to listen to while I'm sewing but I'll have to rewind this and crank up the volume for your Scan and Cut part. On my computer, the volume of that part was too low to hear. I haven't given up on getting my t-shirt project completed but the quilts are calling my name so loudly right now and Christmas is only something like 10 weeks away. Love you, Joy.

Hello Joy
I would do the centre leaf block with the single leaf on the corners between the blocks
It would definitely make it a more fall quilt
