If you place the two sides of what will become the half square triangle, right sides facing, see ALL THE WAY AROUND THE 4 OUTSIDE EDGES using your normal seam allowance. This is where the magic happens-using your ruler to ensure a straight line and your rotary cutter, cut on the diagonal from one corner to the opposite corner THEN TURN THE SQUARE and using your ruler and rotary cutter cut corner to opposite corner. Open and press. You now have 4 1/2 square triangles in a fraction of the time.

What about the quilting that’s done all over the finish basic quilt? Do you take it somewhere and they can do it for you because I sure couldn’t do that?
