My habits (in the US):
Reading: At home I read about 80% of the day and mostly news/politics and I only watch catch-up streaming services in a binge

Lottery: I despise the lottery.

Networking: I despise cronyism which is what who vs. what. While I will work with others for a common goal, I know I am being used, which is why I prefer to work alone. Been burned WAY too often.

Spending: I find the least expensive, highest quality items to purchase until they wear completely out. And then I salvage what I can from them for further use.

Early riser: I have critical insomnia. Getting up is not my issue. And getting up THREE HOURS IN ADVANCE makes me NOT want to actually go do my job. I am also easily distracted and focus to the point I lose track of actual time. I have alarms and reminders to keep me on track.

Exercise: Due to serious limitations, I was unable to properly exercise these past 20 years. I got that fixed in time for a serious lung infection that left me breathless since October last year. I exercise as much as I can.

Mindfulness: I have been doing this since I was 26.

To do list: I keep adding to it. I finish one thing and add 2 more to replace it as I get ideas. Weather permitting, I get most of it done on time.

Health v wealth: THIS is a poor comparison considering the cost of the healthier food. As a result, I must emphatically disregard this as a factor. Junk food is CONSIDERABLY cheaper than healthy food and usually within the budget of the poor more readily.

I make in my job around $600 - $1000 a week if I am lucky. I pay my taxes in a lump sum when I file. My wife draws in about $600 a week WHEN SHE IS WORKING after taxes. $57, 600 is our annual take home. She is a professional with a BBA-A and I am a Lyft driver. We are currently paying off a new car (old one was trashed), paying off almost $150k in student loans, and living week to week. Our monthly expenses without insurance coverage is around $4600. 99% of what we own are hand me downs. We do not own our home. We do "all the right things" to be wealthy. We are not. We are also 51 and have nothing left in our investments or savings. Our experience is that the corporate world is based solely on favouritism and not actual abilities. The who likes you vs. what you are truly capable of and worth. The ladder is based on whose ass you can kiss high enough up that ladder.

Really got a point with the To Do Lists: I may not be a millionaire but I'm always carrying around my notebook with my to do lists, calendars with appointments etc.

Since I've been doing that my productivity has increased like 200%, I look at all the old to-do lists with everything crossed off and I'm like "Woah, I'm actually getting shit done a hell of a lot"

Hope this helps somebody.

I agree about reading. I read a lot as I was growing up and it really helps when you get to college. You don't realize how much reading different kinds of books will increase your knowledge of vocabulary and proper English writing structure.

I worked as an elevator operator in Manhattan, NYC in 1972. My father was a vice president of the real estate management company that ran that bounding. I walked in one day and thought one of our rich tenants was in the hallway. Very expensive suit that made my Dad's look cheap. Turned out it was a janitor i knew that made, maybe $150 a week. I asked why he's spend that kind of money on a suite, and he said it made him feel more important. I hope he became what he was trying to feel like.

This series consistently has the issue of conflating correlation with causation, and calling things “proven” when they are nowhere near so.

Beautiful content. Whoever is reading this dont be discouraged if things dont go the way you expected or if you fail. Failure and disapointments are part of the process and ladder to success. You will win dont give up
