I had a coworker who was 22 years old and lived with his mother. He got $80, 000 in an accident settlement. We all told him to buy a studio co-op apartment in Queens, but he bought a Mercedes. Years passed, the Mercedes depreciated in value, and he still lived with his mom. The co-ops in Queens tripled in value.

for me it is not about being a 'future billionaire', it is about being financially independent - which I have been for the last several years and it feels good.

Having been concerned about finances throughout my entire adulthood, it's captivating to observe this video and realize that I can confidently identify with level 6. Experiencing the freedom of not being preoccupied with the financial concerns that consumed me for numerous years is truly liberating. I suppose this is the result of putting in diligent effort for the future.

I once had a female technician working in my dept. She was always going on about how she was always broke. She got paid weekly and one Monday she came in with a hair style that cost her 75% of her weekly pay 🙄

As a poor Walmart worker in Oklahoma with no education I decided that I would save all of my money to invest in truck driving school. After I got my CDL I drove a truck for an outstanding company that I did alot of research on and after six months I quit because I had used all that money that I saved while being on the road constantly to own an ecommerce store and move to Hawaii.

Now I have a nice apartment, a jeep, a growing buisness and I have the time to enjoy the nature around me.

Your life is whatever you decide to do with it and only you can tell yourself what you should do with it.

Effective money management is needed if we want to build a strong financial future tomorrow, I started out with 10k 3 years ago investing. I did two duplexes with seller financing. Fast forward to now. I am worth 500k and currently finishing my 8 unit apartment building. I am 35 and already retired from the rat race. Real estate and stock investing works if you are willing to put the hard work in. No one would loan me money and still wont to this day. I am working on fixing my past credit history. I still made it without the banks.

Investing is considered a bedrock in making generational wealth. Most people don't know when, where or what to invest in. Fortunately, great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance and ideas. Meaningful contributions are always welcomed.

Cable TV is another big one...what's the point when theres YouTube and Netflix?

Eliminating this is the best way to instantly save $150-$200 per month.

My grandparents always said "only buy on the basis of need". They were so right. They lived through the great depression and learned to be frugal. After they passed away we found sheet sets that were never used still in the package. Same with all kinds of other things. We figured out those were gifts we had given them over the years.

One thing I notice that is different from when I was a young person is no one seems to bring their own coffee and lunch from home to work. When I was younger, everyone from the vice president on down the ranks brought their lunch and/or their coffee, myself included. Once in a great while we would go out to lunch as a treat, but only as a fun thing for coworkers to do together.

Even one year of this, especially with the rise of very expensive coffees and food at restaurants, will save literally thousands of dollars. But whenever I've advised young people today to do this, they all say, "I shouldn't have to do that, " as though it were a shameful thing or a terrible deprivation.

As a African-American this is the type of video that the black community need to see. I see to many brothers, and sisters spending money trying to live a lie.

#17. Starbucks. $5 for a cup of fancy coffee yet they still get our names wrong when instead a large can of ground bean is available in stores for the same price.
