Hold up, you're being super misleading by saying that lady butterfly and genichiro are midway through the game. They're both very early game. Genichiro might mark where midgame starts.

Lady Butterfly is not mid game you can challenge her before you even finish the Ashina Wastelands though you're likely to get 1 shotted by Lady Butterfly early if you fail to stun her on phase 2 of the fight after she turns all the illusions in to butterfly beam.

I still cant get past the first samurai mini boss however, I feel this game is gonna be very satisfying when I beat it.

For that ninja mini boss. There is a super easy way to beat him.

Circle him clockwise and his attack misses everytime hit him with the poison sword a few times so he takes damage over time and a few normal attacks while his health is ticking down.

Right before lady butterfly by idol there is a prayer bead in a chest behind the wall w a scroll. You must hug the wall where the 2 enemies are

That last miniboss is really susceptible to poison so I'd recommend usuing kusabimaru the little poison blade if you've got it

For the seven spears boss: use your loaded axe, hit him twice, repeat. Takes 30 sec to kill him. For the samurai at the end: dodge left, hit him, dodge twice, repeat. Easy win

There def not midway through the game they are both very early game bosses. U can fight lady butterfly like 3 or 4 hours in same with genchiro depend son what way u take and how much u explore but they are both early game. Also be prepared to learn to parry if u havent learn yet genchiro will teach u trust me he like an amazing tutorial boss for miriki counter and perfect parry

Best mid game xp farm i found is 2 ghost nightjar ninja in the hidden forest in ashina depths right beside the idol after you beat the boss there that give 620 xp each O.O just stealthblow the first one and kill the other. Takes 30 seconds for 2480 xp per minute and took me like 10 minutes to get 20k and 4 levels xD

Yo if you want an extra prayer bead head back to the starting area of the game and you can fight the lone swordsman.

If you wanna go aggressive on jinsuke saze and have good reaction time, there is a decent way of defending against his double slash combo. When he is going for it, you will notice he re sheathes his sword and holds onto it. If you keep your eyes fixed on the sword you will notice a quick flash of white light that indicates he is going for the attack. The second you see it, double click deflect to parry. If you do this 3 times quick you will immediately get him. If you want time to think, do it once, dodge back and repeat. Goodluck!
