I got but why should I mount the USB driver in this new directory to have access to the content ? Why not access directly via cd /media/zrsmith/8c33-449e and then copy the files to your desktop for example ?

When I reboot Ubuntu, the mount stops working. I have to mount it manually. How can you make Ubuntu automount the drive?
