Mount and Unmount Disks in OSX Terminal

good day i have high sierra mac os and i have a finder icon on mine i did the mount prompt it says mounted when i try the unmount i get
Volume OS X Base System on disk0s2 failed to unmount: dissented by PID=0 (kernel)
for a while i've been trying to mount image etc to no avail any ideas thx

Hi +Retox Media I can't seem to get a 2nd partition to mount. 1 partition shows, the other for my TimeMachine does not, it is 1.5Tb of a 2.0Tb drive. When trying to mount it, I get "timed out waiting to mount". I can't seem to get this part of the volume back. Any ideas?? Thanks.

What does, "Mount will mount the volume in the "standard" place (/Volumes), unless
an optional mount point is specified." mean? It doesn't say it doesn't exist.. but it doesn't show up in finder/desktop either.

This is te message i get when i try to mount the drive. It was disconnected from the computer without the HDD being ejected first.
Volume on disk2 failed to mount; if it has a partitioning scheme, use "diskutil mountDisk"

iam having "unable to open device" issue in disk utility. iam trying this method but when i hit enter nothing is happening. should i wait and let it do its thing?

I am actually using my pendrive for this...but when check my pendrive and use disc utility list it does not show my pen drive but when I remove my pendrive and insert it again it comes down and the name is written all the utilities list..need help
