Now im sure by this point you have heard, either through the news, ads, or by your annoying 12 year old cousin named Anisha about the D’Amelio sisters. Focus on school Anisha, I saw that d in math class. Anyways Charli currently has around 138 million followers on tik tok while Dixie has over 57 million. The family also has their own reality tv series on Hulu. It sheds light on the negative impacts of the immense fame placed on their shoulders. Remember charli is only 18 years old while dixie is just 20. She cant vote and her sister cant legally drink. They constantly have to deal with criticism, negative comments, and harassment from paparazzi. People often assume their lives just consist of making easy tik tok dance videos, but theres a lot of more behind the scenes. This is the dark side of the D’Amelio's.

The fact that Trisha paytas literally tried to attack a teenager 🤢 so glad Trisha is called out for her sociopathic tendencies

Its so sad to see where society has come. If some celebrity is sad people flock around them with support but if one of your close friends is depressed no one even bothers to say "are you ok?".

This sorta just shows how the internet can mess you up. Charlie is so lost with reality all she knows is the internet life and the trolls.

Humans weren't built to handle a hundred people judging their each and every move let alone a hundred million, hopefully they're able to get the help they need and enjoy the fruits of their success.

The whole situation reminds me of what Brittney Spears had to go through, with the super charged fame and the inhumane actions of paparazzi.

I love Trisha paytas just inserting herself as the moral authority on a drama that was a giant nothing burger. Classic Trisha 😂.

Some can’t handle the fame. There isn’t anything wrong with that, but She needs to get off the internet if it’s affecting her mental health as much as she says.

They're young, rich, beautiful girls that didn't have to do much to reach their success. They're going to have alot of haters. I do feel bad though that they seem to be under pressure to provide for their family. That's not fair at all..

The fact Charli is just a year older than me too, feels weird seeing someone near my age go through this

the fact that people can’t throw up over something that sickens them without being “cancelled” is sad though ngl

I remember watching the dinner drama unfold and thinking "im sorry, wtf is the big deal here?" Thank you for covering this. I never understood why they were so hated. They are just girls who dance on tikitok. Who cares?

She talks alot about her problems but there's no real intervention from her parents. It's like they're only there because of their earning potential

You're one of the few YouTubers to make me lmao on the regular. Totally agree with all this. If someone with that platform is a total hack/ass like Lilly Singh, I get the criticism. But they genuinely seem like normal, nice people going through their own things. All the more power to them.

Their parents need to get more involved in their mental health instead of leaching off them.

Imagine being sooo pressed over a teenage girl doing dances on TikTok.

Shows some of us here on the Internet really have nothing better to do.

This is so sad. I really hope they have even just one person who’s real and loves them for them because that can make the biggest difference. When she was talking about her session, the friends didn’t seem to really care or look empathetic. Granted it was a short clip and could have been edited to look that way, but still. This just sounds similar to Britney Spears :( it’s messed up.

I really think teens shouldn't have tik tok accounts. The internet is brutal and ruthless and teenagers aren't able to emotionally deal with its dangers.
