You've got some of this wrong. Dennis did not walk into the ocean and drown, It's very well known that he was diving off his yacht (which was for sale), retrieving things when he drowned. He also got kicked out of the Beach Boys in the spring of 1983--I know, as I was there and personally witnessed his drunken tantrum onstage that day, which got him fired. He drowned six months later.

I was a rock/music photographer in the 70’s; at a BB show in Eugene, OR….Dennis had to “save” his brother Brian on stage: Brian literally froze up…almost catatonic, couldn’t play. Dennis got off his drum kit, put his arms around his brother, grabbed the microphone, and started singing….
“He Ain’t Heavy, He’s my Brother”.

Everyone was in stunned silence…at the Humanity, and the disintegration of Brian; this was just the beginning…for DECADES, before he got it together again.

Saw the BB at SUNY Plattsburgh, NY in May 1971. Dennis was spot on with his drumming on every song. Some technical songs too. He wasn't just a "clubber."

This was so enjoyable and so well put together! A lot of work went into this. I loved it!

I remember Barbara WIlson and those two little boys. A gorgeous woman who was getting her life on track when I knew her, which was after the divorce. Dennis leaping off his yacht to get things only to drown... I remember that story too. Manson's talent for songwriting was right down there with Hitler's talent for painting. But Dennis was the real deal, and I'm sorry he didn't live through his adventures.

There were 6 victims at 10050 Cielo Drive.
Sharon Tate, her unborn child, Jay Sebring (famous hairstylist), Wojciech Frykowski (friend of Tate's husband, film director, Roman Polanski) Abigail Folger (heiress to the coffee fortune) and Steven Parent (who was visiting groundskeeper, William Garretson. Garretson was not harmed but arrested the following morning as the prime suspect).

Such a sad, twisted and haunting life 😢

You left out my favourite bit of the story, when Dennis beat Manson's ass after Charlie threatened Denny's kids. Van Dyke Parks said so.

Manson was already a cult leader when he was living with Dennis Wilson.

Dennis Wilson completely abandoned his house when the Manson Family took over his house.

I've been hearing these stories my whole life, there were a couple things in here I didn't know about though I had no idea about Melcher being Doris Day's son just for one, thank you for the video

The Tate/Labianca murders were about drug deals that went wrong and barely had anything to do with Manson.

Dennis Wilson was THE greatest rock legend who's no longer among us. He passed a yr & a ½ before I was born but he inspired me to be a drummer. He was highly underrated. Just as good if not better than Ringo. He also WAS the Sunflower album, he made that l.p the masterpiece that it's. I knew a guy named Craig who hung out w/ Dennis & Ed in his last years. Dennis was a true inspiration. 40 years after his passing - rest in Valhalla brother! 🇺🇲🙏🏻🎼
