I really wish they would have left this in. The action is so much faster, it makes Luke appear more on par with what we end up seeing in the prequels.

I know there’s a ton going on in the final act of _Return of the Jedi, _ but I think virtually every delete scene I see would’ve made that whole battle sequence so much better.

That's the same trick Vader tried at the end of Empire to sever Luke's hand, nice touch that now Luke has wised up and takes advantage to get a hit on his helmet.

The pacing is awesome. Luke looks like a champ. I wonder if it got cut because it made Luke seem too strong in the early part of the duel.

This is right after Vader blocks Luke's strike at the Emperor.
There are very, very few scenes that I wish they would've kept in, but this one is definitely one of them.
I think they should've stayed with the duel a little longer and not cut it up so much.

They should've left this part in the special edition, Luke's movement here really resembles Anakin on his fight against Obi-Wan.
